Waking Dreamwork In a Nutshell
WHAT IT IS
Waking Dreamwork is an intuitive, unscripted process of accessing and interacting with dreamlike symbols and experiences while awake.
Similar to a gentle psychedelic journey, Waking Dreamwork allows consciousness to expand beyond the limitations of the rational mind (without substances).
Waking Dreamwork (also called Essence Activation) was born from my background as a licensed mental health clinician. Though not a therapy, it is inspired by EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and Somatic Experiencing.
HOW IT’S DONE
Performed solo or collaboratively, Waking Dreamwork is driven by a clear intention and deep awareness of the present moment—attunement to the flow of one’s emotions, sensations, and mental images in real-time.
This embodied process is amplified by intuitive movement, sound, and other forms of spontaneous expression. Strange and uncomfortable experiences are welcomed as part of the dream magic. There is no special experience required, only the willingness to notice and allow what is alive.
